Cold and flu symptoms gone
Some years ago, while working for a computer firm, I was afflicted with severe flu symptoms. Although I prayed and did some spiritual study over a couple of days, the healing wasn’t forthcoming, so I called on a Christian Science practitioner for support. The practitioner readily agreed to help me and very lovingly shared some truths for me to ponder.
Later that evening, I wanted to go to the store. In particular, I wanted some orange juice simply because I liked it and it sounded refreshing. However, it didn’t feel wise to go out. I decided instead to take time to just sit quietly and fill my thought with gratitude for all that I had and the good that I knew was going on right then.
As I began to feel filled with a sense of God’s love for me, the love naturally overflowed to include my fellow man and co-workers. Suddenly someone rang the intercom downstairs. Upon answering, I discovered it was a friend and co-worker who lived about 30 minutes west of me, but was seldom in my area. She’d stopped by to see me.
