Nothing to fear
Thanks so much for the article by Cindy Wray, “God keeps us safe from harm,” in the October 14 Sentinel—and for the contribution by her mother, Roberta Alford.
I especially appreciate when an author leaves us their name. It will help others to come forward and write, or speak up at Wednesday testimony meetings. “We have nothing to fear when Love is at the helm of thought, but everything to enjoy on earth and in heaven” (Mary Baker Eddy, Miscellaneous Writings 1883–1896, p. 113).

Your office
[“What is your office?” Nancy Bachmann, October 14, 2013, JSH-Online Sentinel]
A wonderful article. This is a lot of food for thought. Even though I’ve never been a public school teacher, this is a most practical lesson to ponder. We all have different offices, and I’m going to try to consciously rely on the qualities of my office to support my experience. Thank you so much for giving us this article.

Nuggets of truth
I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed the editorial from the Editors in the October 7, 2013, Sentinel, “The energy of creation.” It gave me a new way to look at how I think of God! I wanted to also send my appreciation for the poems and photographs that are in every issue. I turn to them first, and love the nuggets of truth as well as the beautiful pictures!

Glorifying God is awesome
The Sentinel has achieved many productive goals through God’s guidance. We have been blessed with pertinent articles relating to music and hymns. The blending of our voices at our church services glorifying God is awesome. The Sentinel encourages us to apply these articles to our spiritual journey. Sue Holzberlein describes in her article, “Beyond the surface” (August 5, 2013), how Hymn No. 189 protected her on a subway train. Sue prayed for deliverance and this hymn sustained her. Part of the hymn is as follows:
[God] keepeth me from evil,
My onward way doth trace,
My going and my coming
He crowneth with His grace.
Sue emerged from the train safe and grateful. All mankind may benefit from relying solely on God.
