I love learning neat things about God!

A while ago, I had a tooth that was really wiggly. I could not eat dinner because it bothered me so much. My mom was praying for me. And she made me some soup, but it still felt uncomfortable to eat.

I decided to call a Christian Science practitioner—a woman from my Sunday School. She talked about God with me. After we spoke, I decided to pray like I’ve learned in Sunday School. It helps me feel a sense of peace when I turn to God.

As the practitioner had recommended, I went to read Psalm 23. I had learned about this psalm in Sunday School. The part that helped me was: “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures” (verses 1, 2). It reminded me that God is our shepherd. The shepherd always watches over his flock. And the sheep always recognize their own shepherd, and they respond to the shepherd. This told me that I needed to listen to God—and not my mouth!
