Effects of ant bites reversed
I live in south Florida, where red ants are prevalent. Praying to see the perfect harmony among God’s creatures saved me from predicted bad effects after I stepped on an anthill a few years ago.
At the time, I was attending a memorial service for my neighbor’s father. According to the custom of his faith, after the service the guests went outside and lined a walkway to await the family as they walked through the path created by their friends. Since I was the last person outside, there was no more room on the cement walk, which meant I had to stand off to the side, in the sand. After finding a spot, I immediately felt something cover my legs, and when I looked down, I saw that I was standing on a hill of red ants. Not wanting to interrupt this part of the ceremony, I stood still, though my legs were beginning to burn from the bites.
It was significant that this was happening. Just the day before, I had visited a friend who had come to Florida for a two-week vacation and found her with her leg propped up on a pillow because she had been bitten by red ants. She had sought medical help and was told she would have to stay off her leg for at least a week. Needless to say, her vacation had been interrupted.
