Skin cancer eradicated

I have been a practicing Christian Scientist all my life and have consistently used its teachings to heal physical conditions for myself and my children. However, about ten years ago I had a problem with skin on my forehead that would not heal. I decided to see a dermatologist about it. She diagnosed it as basal-cell skin cancer, and she told me it would need to be surgically removed.

I decided to allow the surgeon to do this procedure. However, after a few months the condition returned. It was then I realized I needed to apply Christian Science prayer for myself, instead of relying upon a medical procedure.

I called a Christian Science practitioner for metaphysical treatment. We prayed to see me as God sees me—a complete, perfect, spiritual creation. We affirmed that His creation could have no deterioration. I knew that my face could literally shine as it expressed God’s joy, health, and beauty, which He gives to all. I remember spending lots of quiet time studying the Bible and the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy.
