Our family: under the Father-Mother's care

My wife and I have three children and we both have full-time jobs, so it can be daunting to try to keep up with running our home smoothly and raising our kids. But this challenge is rich with opportunities to learn more about how God protects and nurtures every one of us.

Frequently, only one parent at a time can be home with the children. In these situations, my wife and I have learned how we both express the masculine and feminine qualities of God, in realization of the “ ‘male and female’ of God’s creating” that Mary Baker Eddy spoke of in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures (p. 249).

I have found I am naturally able to express feminine qualities such as tenderness, compassion, and love. Because these attributes are divine, they cannot be limited or pigeonholed by mortal designations, assumptions, or expectations. And my wife has shown she expresses masculine qualities such as strength, courage, and wisdom, demonstrating her reflection of the completeness of our Father-Mother God.
