Healed from effects of a fall
Mary Baker Eddy says on page 444 of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, “Step by step will those who trust Him find that ‘God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.’ ” Several years ago I found myself in trouble—and healing did indeed come “step by step.”
It was early morning in Rome, Italy. I was in a hurry to finish my shower, pack, meet my son for breakfast, and then get on a train for Florence. In my haste, I slipped in the tub and ended in a heap. I wasn’t hurt, I told myself, just humiliated. I managed to get out of the tub, dress, and meet my son. But when we got to the train station I felt a severe pain in my side. Had I pulled something when I fell?
