Bullying? You don't have to be afraid!
Read more about bullying in the Sentinel of June 25,
written for kids and by kids. There you’ll also find:
• a story about summer camp
• an interview with a voice-over actor
• healings from kids in different parts of the world
• a story about a lost dog
• a Bible story about Jesus and John the Baptist, plus a game, and lots more!
Inspired by the Kids’ Sentinel, these kids from a Sunday School class in Palo Alto, California, talked about how to pray about bullying. Here they share some of their thoughts and some experiences they’ve had.
I am in third grade. There is a boy in my class whom I have known since nursery school. He was always nice in the past, but has become mean and hurtful to kids in the last year or so. One day on the playground, he came up to me and pushed me really hard. At first I was scared of him and was bothered by him doing this. Later, I thought about how God is all around me and always protecting me. So really there is no way he can hurt me because God is stronger and is the only power. I am not afraid of this boy anymore, and I don’t feel bothered anymore.

I am so happy! Because God is Love. I know this to be true, because I love, too!
Jasmine, 7
One day my brother was bothering me. He was playing with my stuff, without asking. When I came in, I couldn’t find my picture, and I was worried. Then I thought: “Don’t be afraid. My brother is good and so am I.” I found my picture and was happy. I have no fear when I can see goodness in others and myself. Angel thoughts like these protect us.
