Letters

Deep thanks for all our periodicals—they invariably contain messages that heal, alert, and inspire. I particularly want to express gratitude for the Sentinel on safety (“Your safety assured,” February 6). All the articles and testimonies are so helpful in praying about the national and international scene.

Makengo Ma Pululu’s article “Practice forgiving in daily life” asked this provocative question in connection with the stones that were being readied to be thrown at the woman accused of adultery: “I sometimes ask myself if those people took those stones home with them or if they simply threw them away?” That was a “wow” moment for me—I never thought of it in that way.

It made me determined to extricate any “stones” of that nature that would claim to disguise themselves as my thinking, to distinguish them from the “five smooth stones” that armed David against the Goliath thought!
