Letters
Other than her writings, Mary Baker Eddy has given students of Christian Science no greater gift than the provision for Primary class instruction. After all, what could be better than soaring Spirit-ward! I am so grateful for the privilege I had of taking class instruction when I was only 18. It’s been the most rewarding experience of my life, and one that prepares us all to enter the full-time practice of Christian Science.
I want to express my appreciation to the editors of both The Christian Science Journal and Sentinel for the emphasis of late on the subject of class instruction. You are taking the mystery out of it by reporting the many blessings it brings in the Sentinel series titled “The Touch of Class.” In conjunction, the Journal features each month an interview with a different Christian Science teacher, which provides an opportunity to better know the thought of the teachers that are available and, along with individual prayer and inspiration, better enables the seeker to select the right teacher for them.
Thank you for all the marvelous work you are doing at The Christian Science Publishing Society. Your publications are vibrant and attractive. They speak to the newcomer and the lifelong student. But most of all, they are alive with healing!
Enjoy 1 free Sentinel article or audio program each month, including content from 1898 to today.
