Hypothyroidism healed
In 1995, I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and was informed by doctors that I would have to take medication for the rest of my life. My mother, my sister, and my aunt had also been diagnosed with this same disease. However, my situation seemed more difficult. I was unable to get any relief with the medication whatsoever. I walked around like a zombie, having no energy. I had no ambition and became depressed.
I continued to seek help through several doctors, one being a thyroid specialist. However, through most of the medication ups and downs, I remained tired. I even tried homeopathic medicines, to no avail.
My insurance changed through my work, and I was no longer able to continue with the thyroid specialist and had to pick another doctor. After conferring with me, this new doctor said he felt the reason the medicine wasn’t working for me was that I didn’t believe it would work. And he was right. I had attended the Christian Science Sunday School growing up and didn’t truly believe in another power apart from God.
