Celebrating teamwork
John Ritter
As the 2012 Major League Baseball season in the United States swings toward its close, a book written by John H. Ritter, a longtime student of Christian Science, is getting deserved attention. It’s his latest novel, Fenway Fever, set during the centennial celebrations of Fenway Park (home of the Boston Red Sox), which Ritter was delighted to attend.
Ritter once played shortstop for the University of California at San Diego, which equipped him well for his baseball writing, mostly for young readers, which includes five other novels, Choosing Up Sides, Over the Wall, Under the Baseball Moon, The Desperado Who Stole Baseball, and The Boy Who Saved Baseball.
