In this series, individuals share how taking Christian Science Primary class instruction has strengthened their spiritual understanding, and brought increasing inspiration and healing to their lives.
A game-changer
I had really looked forward to taking class and, in all honesty, I had applied a couple of years earlier and had been turned down. Things in my life back then just didn’t really fit quite yet. It had been a good move by that teacher and had made me study, learn more, and increase the depth of my understanding of Christian Science.
When I was accepted to class later on, I was so eager to take this big step. The only problem was that I was getting married on Saturday and class started on Monday! This was further complicated by the fact that I had a one week live-in home-care job (that involved Christian Science nursing) planned for the week following class. After talking with my fiancé we both felt it was the right move for me to take class instruction. I should say that Brian and I were not exactly 20-year-olds and this wasn’t the first marriage for either of us. If that was the case, I might not have even considered the thought!
