Healing on a school trip
This past spring, my high school junior class went to Boston to visit some of Mary Baker Eddy’s historic homes and to learn about her life and writings. When we were in Concord, New Hampshire, we went to the nearby Christian Science church for a Wednesday evening testimony meeting.
Unfortunately, all that day I’d been getting a headache that got worse and worse as the day went on. By the time dinner rolled around, it hurt so much that I couldn’t stand to hear people talking. So I retreated into the Sunday School to finally pray about the issue.
The first thing I did was sit down and calm my thought. I opened a Christian Science Hymnal, trusting God would lead me, and opened to Hymn No. 201 (Charles Parsons). The first verse says,
