What the 23rd Psalm means to me
Do you like to pray with the 23rd Psalm? For thousands of years, the 23rd Psalm has been many people’s favorite prayer and song. You probably know how it starts: “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” You can read the whole psalm in the book of Psalms in the Bible.
A Sunday School student from Canada wanted to share with you what this prayer means to her. She wrote:
God is my Father and Shepherd—
I am not afraid.
He makes sure I have a good teacher in school.
He makes sure I am nice so I have good friends.
God comforts me when I feel like no one loves me.
He leads me down the right path so I am not mean.
The Lord is always there beside me when I am afraid.
He makes sure that I have food to eat.
God makes me healthy and good.
I love God because of all the things He does for me.
