Completely healed of all discomfort and fear
In September 2009 I experienced discomfort in my back shoulder area. At first I thought I had stretched it in an odd way and perhaps it was a passing discomfort. By the next day it had grown worse. I found I wasn’t able to sit since the pain grew sharp.
Since childhood, when faced with challenges, I’ve turned to Christian Science for healing treatment and have had many healings. So I called a Christian Science practitioner. Her loving response helped me quiet my sense of alarm.
I began to prayerfully work with the spiritual concept of structure, as explained in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. The Bible tells us we are all God’s creation and God is Truth and Love. I reasoned that my Creator, Truth and Love, would never create pain or discord, only that which is true and substantial. Therefore I, as the image of God, could assert that I was not structured by matter. I had never proceeded from bones, nerves, or any other material structure. In reality matter didn’t have a place or foothold in my being. I—every part of me—as God’s child, proceeded from Principle. This was a sure foundation, unchanging and eternal. I could rest upon this truth.
