Taking my thought higher
Years ago, I was having a conversation with a friend when she mentioned that her husband used to sing in a choir. She said he had a beautiful voice and recalled a time when she had attended a concert where the choir was singing. Sitting there, she could pick out one voice singing a little above all the other voices, and she recognized this sweet sound as coming from her husband.
As they walked home arm in arm together afterward, she asked him, “How do you reach those very high tones?”
“Well,” he replied, “when you think you have gone as high as you can go, you just go that bit higher.”
