CHASING AWAY 'LITTLE FOXES'

A long-standing skin condition is healed through prayer alone.

FOXES HAVE THE REPUTATION OF BEING CRAFTY, cunning, able to deceive. I heard a teacher of Christian Science refer to error—the opposite of Truth and the human mind's story about life and intelligence in matter—as "little foxes." These sneaky, false suggestions about our life and livelihood cunningly try to make us feel separate from God, our Creator.

I had a memorable healing through prayer that, while taking several years, uncovered many "little foxes" that needed to be chased off.

Over a decade ago, I noticed a small rash on the underside of my forearm. It soon began to spread and became an alarmingly large patch of ugly, angry-looking skin. I didn't feel it was helpful to assign a cause and immediately began to pray about it. But when the condition lingered, and there wasn't even improvement, I sensed that there was something that needed to come to light in my thought—something that needed to be faced down and eliminated.
