GOD'S UNERRING DIRECTION

Ancient mariners used to determine their position by watching the North Star. Today, people use global positioning systems. But through the ages, those who have turned to God for guidance and listened to His voice have been guided safely, step by step, wherever they have traveled.

Such dependence on God has never been more important than right now in these times of dislocation and disorientation for workers and families across America and in many other parts of the world. Thousands of people have lost their jobs and their homes, and feel helpless and frustrated.

How then does one pray about such situations to bring about a harmonious and satisfying adjustment? Nothing has helped me more than my consistent striving to better understand my relationship with God and to gain a sense of His unerring direction.
