I stopped coughing
When I came back from summer camp, I had a cough. I told my mom, and we prayed. My mom said God does not give me a cough because God loves me. This made me feel good. I went to bed.
In the middle of the night I began to cough. My mom came and began to tell me more about God. We talked about the first line in the hymn "Mother's Evening Prayer" by Mary Baker Eddy. It goes: "O gentle presence, peace and joy and power" (Christian Science Hymnal, Hymn 207). My mom said, "That is where you live, in the peace and joy and power of God." And God is Spirit, not matter. I understood that a cough was not a gentle presence, because it was not from God.
Mom told me that God loves me so much and that my dad and my brother and sister love me as well. This made me feel very happy. I stopped coughing and went to sleep without any more problems.
