LETTERS

I live in the United States and am a longtime Sentinel subscriber, but this month I'm living in Xela, Guatemala, where I'm studying Spanish. I'm living with a local family. Recently after talking to another student who is also living with this family, I was inspired to give him a copy of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. I attribute my seeing this opportunity to the Sentinel interview with Rabbi David Louis [May 11].

This young man made it clear when I first met him that he was Jewish. Subsequent conversations with him revealed that he had a great interest in quantum physics, the nature of matter, etc. I offered him a copy of Science and Health, told him it had a lot to say about the unreality of matter, and he accepted it. I don't think I would have reached out in this way prior to reading the interview.
