QUICK HEALING AFTER FALL FROM BIKE
I'm so grateful for a healing I had in October 2008, from Christian Science prayer alone.
I was on the last leg of a day's 50-mile bike tour in Virginia's Northern Neck when, against my better judgment, I took off my helmet and placed it around my handlebars. A short time later, I looked back at my friends riding with me. As I did, I turned my front wheel and the helmet got caught in the wheel, abruptly stopping the bike and throwing me into the road. I remember thinking that I wanted to go down as gracefully as possible, but it never occurred to me that I might be hurt.
Landing in the middle of the road, I knew I needed to get out of the way of oncoming cars, which I did. My friends were at my side by then. I was a bit shaken, but I told them I was all right. I didn't want them to miss completing the tour. At the same time, I was mentally affirming that I was all right because I knew God was right with me, as He always is.
