ANYONE CAN BE A HEALER

TO BE A 'REAL' PRACTITIONER

"DON'T YOU WANT A REAL PRACTITIONER?"

That had been my initial response. I was washing dishes when I heard Grandmother's urgent call. I ran to her study and found her gasping for breath. "Quick," she said, "pray for me." She was having severe pain in her chest, and her left arm was numb.

I stood paralyzed with fear. I was just in high school! She was a Christian Science practitioner. I always turned to God for help, as she had taught me to do, but not for another person. I'd been healed quickly of mononucleosis, a broken leg, a sprained ankle, headaches, monthly cramps, burns. So I knew that scientific prayer in Christian Science was effective. But what my grandmother was experiencing felt beyond my ability.
