IRREGULAR HEARTBEAT HEALED

About a year and a half ago, I contacted a Christian Science practitioner and teacher via e-mail, seeking some metaphysical ideas that could strengthen my prayers about a long-standing challenge.

For many years I'd been afflicted with an irregular heartbeat. The onset of symptoms had always been frightening and usually physically incapacitating. As someone who has found Christian Science effective throughout my life, I felt relying on prayer would bring about healing. In fact, using spiritual means to meet this condition often brought relief from fear and a cessation of symptoms. But the fact that this issue wasn't fully resolved troubled me.

For several weeks I prayed with the concepts from the Christian Science practitioner's e-mail response. In it he talked about waking up to what God was revealing to me each day and feeling the reality of God's control and care over everything. This helped. Nevertheless, after a couple of months, I was compelled to call this practitioner on the phone to further discuss my situation. I explained that I was feeling a bit like one of those sickly people in the Bible's New Testament who'd spent many years looking for healing but wasn't any better.
