GOOD CANNOT END

Every good gift and every perfect gift
is from above, and cometh down
from a Father of lights, with whom
is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

James 1:17

That may seem to some to be a pretty incredible statement to make in view of the challenges confronting us: job losses, foreclosures, decimation of retirement funds, divorces, loss of loved ones, health problems, and so on. You may think to yourself, "It sure does seem like good comes to an end." But it's nevertheless a provable spiritual fact, when you start to understand that God is good, the only Creator, and has made all to be like Himself. The Scriptural account of creation in the first chapter of Genesis repeatedly says that God saw what He had made and it was very good (see Gen. 1:25, 31). Then the Bible says in Ecclesiastes, "I know that everything God does will endure forever; nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it" (3:14, New International Version). From this spiritual vantage point you can challenge any loss that occurs with powerful spiritual laws that can adjust the human scene to correspond with God's view of the continuity of good.
