QUICK HEALING AFTER BEE STINGS

Good friends visited my home last summer. Both are of another denomination than mine, love the Bible, and have always had a profound curiosity about the healing aspect of Christian Science. We exchanged many wonderful ideas about the Bible and joyfully shared our mutual respect for each other's religious pursuits.

As a backyard beekeeper, I have always felt very comfortable around my bee hives. However, having bees in the yard was worrisome to my friends. One day they expressed concern about the bees and discussed in great detail the adverse physical reactions to stings. Though I assured them I was fine with the activity, I found myself thinking about the descriptions of suffering.

That afternoon I opened the hive as my friends watched from our screenedin porch. Within seconds I was covered by literally hundreds of bees stingin me on the wrist and legs. (It is customary for many beekeepers to examine the hives without gloves, and I had been doing so for two years without ever being stung.)
