John Hoagland, a partner in a Boston firm that specializes in senior executive recruitment, has been praying about the employment issues facing the United States and its global neighbors. Here's an excerpt from a conversation he has with the Sentinel's Ingrid Peschke on spirituality.com.

I'm sure you hear stories every day of people who are looking for employment. Can you tell us about what you're encountering and how you've been praying about this issue?

Frankly, it hits very close to home if only because our business in recruitment is directly related to the level of hiring activity going on in the market. Our industry is down as much as 50 percent or more worldwide.
