SAY GOODBYE TO STRESS
A spirituality.com chat in June 2009 featured Ron Mangelsdorf, a Christian Science practitioner and teacher who lives near Anchorage, Alaska. Ron has an engineering degree from the University of Illinois. He has worked for The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and as Committee on Publication for Alaska. This text has been edited for readability. To listen to the whole chat, go to www.spirituality.com/chats/stress.
Stress can be caused by taking on too many activities, even if they are all worthwhile. How do we achieve balance in our daily lives?
In the Bible Jesus talks about the importance of seeking first the kingdom of God, the kingdom of heaven, and then everything else falls into place. So when we're looking for a sense of balance, keeping God uppermost is honoring God and expressing God.
