LETTERS
I'm writing to thank Brian J. Stock for his article, "For peace — shalom — on Colombia's border," in the August 11 issue ["Fearless in times of change"]. In his article under the heading, "Be a porter for the nations," he says, "God's peace is infinite, so it's important that we see it everywhere."
This thought has cemented the pure fact that our thoughts do help the world. Also he writes, "When the political conditions that forecast conflict seem present, whether they are supply shortages, military maneuvers, race riots, corporate corruption, or international incidents, we can refuse entry to the fear that these are realities over which the world has no control."
I thank you, Brian, for your clear idea of peace, which we can all embrace.
