I shared my prayers

There's a saying that friends are God's gift to us. And I completely agree with that. Just as a present should be treated, a friend should be treated with care and love.

As a Christian Scientist, when my friends have had problems, I've always tried to be ready to help them through prayer, if they ask. But sometimes it's hard to know what to say, or even how to pray. That's when I trust God to give me the answers that I need.

For example, I have a close friend whom I care about a lot, and she's always been curious about how prayer works and how God actually helps us. One time, we were talking about Christian Science and how I've always prayed to God when I needed help. I told her about a knee joint problem that had caused me pain throughout my first week at summer camp. Since I love to play soccer, I was excited to find out about a game that was scheduled for one morning at 5:00. So I didn't think twice about my knee and just said yes when I was asked the night before if I'd join in.
