LETTERS

I love to read the Letters page in the Sentinel, to hear what others get from reading the wonderful articles. Sometimes another's gratitude for a particular piece will turn me to reread, or final a missed article. One letter alerted me to read "New views at every turn" by Helen Ster-vemer in the October 27 issue ["Let Life advance you"]. While my circumstances aren't the same as hers—bringing up a family single-handedly, after her husband passed on—there were, however, nuggets of gold regarding gratitude that have stirred me into action.

I'm so grateful for Rosalie Dunbar's article "For peace in Afghanistan" in the November17 issue ["The Bible—a light for your journey"]. I've waited 50 years for such an article.
