RENEWAL

DARREN STONE

The hour may seem forlorn and dark as we
decide where we should go. Yet He will be
with us, pillar of fire or cloud, clear Word.
Even if faith in family or friends is lost,
and the expectation to be comforted
turns into wilderness, there is a way.

For power and blessing are of God; renewal
and true need are always met when He discerns
an innocent desire. Think of that Shunamite
who trusted tenderly; of Joseph who embraced
his brothers and forgave. Remember Saul
renouncing vows to persecute the Christians
and redeemed as Paul, then pressing on
to give his life to serving Christ. The gift of
trusting God can come to anyone who will
accept His love and walk with Him.
