FALCONS THAT 'EMBRACE THE WORLD'

As humanity tackles the need to support the environment—in both prayer and action—powerful examples of recovery, restoration, and what could broadly be called "healing," will naturally occur. These successes are happening, with increasing regularity, around the globe. One modest example has landed in our own backyard (or rather, on our back balcony!) on the 25th floor of The Mother Church's Administration building in Boston, where a couple of peregrine falcons has made their home for than a decade.

Key to the suport system for the falcon family has been the counsel of TOM FRENCH, Assistant Director of the Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Wildlife, and NORM SMITH, of the Audubon Society.

In the interview on the next page, Editor in Chief MARY TRAMMEL, who works on that floor, chatted with French and Smith as they looked in on this year's new falcon chick in late May.
