'BEHOLD, I MAKE ALL THINGS NEW'
Shortly after our family moved into a new house, I started experiencing pain in one of my shoulders. Our young granddaughter was visiting at the time, and when she would travel with us in the car, I noticed that I couldn't reach into the back seat to assist her. Any effort of stretching out my arm was painful. However, I simply attributed it to lifting and hauling boxes around during our recent move and expected the pain to go away quickly.
But after several months of my sporadic prayer, the shoulder was not getting any better. In fact, I started experiencing the same discomfort in my other shoulder.
One day I was outside throwing a ball to our Golden Retriever, and this simple act was causing great discomfort. Later that day, I turned on the television and saw a commercial for arthritis pain medicine. The actor in the commercial was throwing a ball to his dog and wincing because of the movement in his shoulder—exactly as I'd been doing.
