TAKE IT TO CHURCH
People united in prayer to God are a powerful force for good.
When I was growing up, if there was a problem, we were advised to "take it to church." To me this meant to pray, of course, but by taking it to church, I felt there was more than just my prayer involved.
In a way, it meant the whole church was by my side, supporting me as I reached out to God.
Later, when I began attending a Church of Christ, Scientist, I was interested to learn that "the prayers in Christian Science churches shall be offered for the congregations collectively and exclusively," as it says in the Manual of The Mother Church (Mary Baker Eddy, p. 42).
