QUICKLY HEALED AFTER A FALL

One Saturday afternoon, my daughter and one of her friends were painting the roof of our house. I decided to climb up to inspect their progress. As I was stepping onto the ladder to get back down, I fell one story to the concrete patio below.

On the way down, I shouted, "You are all right! You are just fine!" This quick response was based on the truth I had learned in Christian Science that we are always safe in God. But after falling, I found that I couldn't move or get up. Not wanting to alarm my daughter and her friend who had raced to my side to help me, I assured them that I was OK.

I know that gratitude is very important in healing, and as I was lying on the patio, many things to be grateful for flooded my thought, such as the beautiful clear blue sky, and the help of my daughter and her friend, who are both dedicated Christian Scientists. My daughter called my husband, and I was grateful that he was in his office right then. I was also grateful for the healing ideas about God's loving care that I'd heard in a Christian Science lecture the previous evening. Now these ideas were coming to my rescue.
