HEART TROUBLE HEALED THROUGH PERSISTENT PRAYER

Several years earlier, I had been feeling burdened about a lot of things. Then one night I began having severe heart palpitations, and wasn't able to move without intense pain. Overwhelmed with fear, I began to pray out loud. It was a simple prayer, but I was absolutely certain that God was with me. Safe in that truth, I insisted on not being afraid. Because of the many healings I have experienced through prayer in Christian Science over the years, I knew that this pain had no power over me. My understanding that there is only one God, who created only good, supported me in denying that there could be any presence of a harmful condition.

I also called a Christian Science practitioner to pray with me. And I was so grateful during the next several weeks for her encouragement and availability any time of the day or night.

At first, there were severe symptoms. But I never doubted that Christian Science would heal me, and I refused to accept the suggestion that my prayers were ineffective, even though there wasn't immediate improvement.
