BACK INJURY HEALED THROUGH RELYING ON GOD'S POWER

During one of the very dry seasons in eastern Nigeria, where I live, water became very scarce. Joint church services were held to pray for rain. And rain came one Sunday afternoon. Everywhere, people got out all sizes of containers to collect rainwater. My children uses 50-liter cans, 40-liter, and 25-liter cans. I volunteered to help them.

As I tried to lift one 50-liter can, there was a loud cracking sound in my lower back at the waist. I slumped in great pain, unable to move from the waist down. A kind neighbor came to my wife's aid, and together they helped me up the flight of stairs to our firstfloor apartment.

Each step was a frightening ordeal. Inside the room, I was placed on the bare floor. Once everybody had left me, I was able to think, and I started praying as I had been taught in Christian Science.
