THE WORK OF HEALING IS GOD'S

I had an earache that was causing me considerable pain. In order to address the pain, I chose not to use medication, but to rely on the medicine of Mind, or Christian Science, through prayer. As a Christian Scientist, I had chosen this spiritual approach many times before, and it had proved to be reliable in healing physical problems.

I had learned how to turn to God in prayer for healing by reading and studying Science and Health. This book contains the Science of healing as taught and demonstrated by Christ Jesus in the Bible.

That's why it was natural to me to turn diligently to reading Science and Health in this situation also, and to give myself Christian Science treatment, applying specific laws of God to my situation. I knew that by doing this, I could be healed of bodily suffering.
