Meekness is not weakness
When we think about the quality of meekness, what often come to mind are children. Their innocent nature and natural tendency to do what's good and right make them so easy to love.
As members of Prison Ministries—a Mother Church committee of local members who volunteer at Boston's Suffolk County Jail—DILSHAD KHAMBATTA EAMES and SUSANNE SMITH consider it part of their work to recognize the childlike innocence in everyone. Dilshad is on the committee's "Prayer team," which supports the ministerial activities at the jail, including Christian Science chaplain visits, weekly church services in English and Spanish, and a Bible study group. Susanne is a Reader for the Spanish services.
