ALCOHOL ADDICTION HEALED
I used to frequent pubs every evening to drink a few bottles of stout before going home to my wife and family. I regarded my business as mind-straining, so I needed mental repose.
I had just resigned as a lecturer from a business college in the city of Nairobi to start a private business college in the rural town of Suna. I had ten years' experience training students in business management and marketing. When I was a lecturer, I wasn't disturbed about the fluctuation in student enrollment, the high rental charges of the business premises, and stresses associated with paying business taxes and licenses. I knew all these were my employer's burden.
Now I had to double up as a lecturer and a manager. I encountered many challenges. Most managerial tasks required great mental effort. I had to work hard to save a few coins in order to maintain my daily attendance at the pubs.
