'THE GATES ARE OPEN WIDE'
KWAZULU-NATAL, SOUTH AFRICA
Most visitors leave South Africa with two predictable questins on their lips: "How could any place so beautiful, still be wrestling with so many problems?" And "What are people doing about it?"
From what I'm seeing on this visit of several weeks, South Africans of different races and cultures are trying as never before to find Bible-based answers to those questions. They're still stumbling over disease, joblessness, crime rates, fraud. But in a country that's 68 percent Christian, they're linking arms and praying together.
