OH, HOW I LISTENED TO GOD!
Last June I found myself in intense pain, unable to move. My back appeared to have been injured from my impatiently moving a heavy rug, without asking for help. I really needed to listen to God's voice. We were expecting a lot of company, and for a person who is constantly on the move—riding bikes, walking, and teaching art—the entire situation was very frustrating.
I knew this wasn't the individual God created in His image as the Bible states: "God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him" (Gen. 1:27). Over the years, as I'd studied Christian Science, I'd learned to identify myself as God's image and likeness. With Biblical authority, Christian Science delves deeply into man's (meaning everyone's) true being as the reflection of God. I love that my relationship with Father-Mother God forms my only true nature—and I claim that truth for myself each day.
And yet I was immobilized with pain.
