ANYONE CAN BE A HEALER

A HEART ON FIRE TO HEAL

MY GRANDMOTHER was a Christian Science practitioner and teacher. I can recall times when I was a little boy visiting her and she would be on the phone praying with someone who had called for healing.

One time in particular, I was bouncing on a bed in the room where she had taken a call. She covered the phone and gently said, "Johnny, you can stay, but you must be quiet and listen."

I did. I quieted down and listened to my grandmother's tender outpouring of God's love. It was as though her understanding of God somehow flowed over me. I felt a peace that was beyond words, and I knew at that moment that my own understanding of God would be very important in my life.
