V
E
came down
at Christmas,
so sang the old song,
A

D
stayed.
Immanuel, God with us,
is always coming to warm even
those rushing to to empty shops and stalls.
Then as now in
C
H
R
I
S
T
the whirl of this
world is stilled
by the compassion
that comes
with the Christ.
