NEVER SEPARATED FROM LOVE

(Reprinted from spirituality.com)

A few years ago, there was a lump on my leg that was large enough to be noticeable through my clothes. The lump had been growing and hardening, until one day I couldn't ignore it any longer. Something had to be done. And since I'd experienced many healings through prayer, I chose to pray for healing.

Mary Baker Eddy pointed out the mental nature of disease in her book Science and Health, and so I prayed for God to reveal what condition of thought this situation could represent.

Tumors are considered to be masses of cells that seem to arise independent of the body's structure—in other words, a kind of separation from what is normal and good. This related to how I was feeling. My husband had recently passed on, and I felt separated from his companionship and guidance. I was also having trouble thinking of myself as someone to be valued and loved. And I felt separated from God.
