YOU CAN'T HARM AN IDEA
I have been volunteering in Jamaica since July 2003 with an international aid organization. I am often involved in projects with community-based organizations. One such project, which was sponsored by a local youth club, involved converting some metal drums into trash containers, to encourage residents to store trash in bins and not discard it in the gullies.
The first day of the project involved moving 55-gallon steel drums, donated by a local manufacturing plant, to an open area where we would then cut them open with a chisel and a wedge, and paint them. These particular drums had skulls and crossbones painted on them because they formerly held a chemical used to make Styrofoam and some glues.
