NOISE ABATEMENT THROUGH GRATITUDE
YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE AT THE MERCY OF YOUR SURROUNDINGS. GOD ALWAYS HAS A SOLUTION.
IN EVERY WAY EXCEPT ONE, our new home was perfect. But that one thing soon became a major issue for me, threatening my peace of mind and detracting from my joy.
The problem was noise. Our new house was on a main road. From the very first night, I heard every single car and truck that hurtled past. I couldn't stand it. It was as if my whole existence was continually being pounded.
I had prayed fervently to find a home, and genuinely felt we had been led to this house. But now I was starting to think I had made a big mistake in trusting God. How could a decision that had felt so right suddenly feel so wrong? Instead of praying further about the situation, however, I complained. Eventually I became so miserable I just wanted to be happy and content again.
