LIFE-AID
stream toward tsunami-devastated Indian Ocean coastlines, both survivors and those who watch, pray, and help from a distance could benefit from another kind of aid. Call it Life-Aid—the spiritual help that's needed most when loss and sorrow seem greatest.
Beyond the immediate need to rebuild communities and restore hope among survivors, there's a need to restore faith in the certainty and substantiality of life—the life that comes from and is maintained by the almighty Life itself.
The heart's surest comfort comes in realizing not just that life must go on amid the rubble, but that the lives of those thousands who perished also go on under God's nurturing care. That each child, woman, and man has an indestructible spiritual individuality as a son or daughter of God, an individuality that cannot be snuffed out.
