"So, what to call the generation of today's teens? Some have suggested Generation Next, saying that today's young people have grown up ... with short attention spans, their eye always on the Next New Thing.

"But Kileon Robertson has a different idea. 'The Strong Generation,' says the Snider High School senior when asked what he thinks his generation should be named. Robertson has a good reason for his choice. Having recently turned 20, he also recently was displaced from New Orleans to Fort Wayne [Indiana] by the floodwaters of Hurricane Katrina. He and his sister, India, 15, a sophomore, have had to be strong, having lost their possessions as the lives of everyone in their Garden District neighborhood were torn apart.
